Aeonium 'Atropurpureum' is exceptionally easy to propagate, even for beginner gardeners. Because it is a branching, tree-like succulent, it yields high success rates through stem cuttings rather than leaf propagation.

Best Method: Stem Cuttings. Snip a healthy rosette with 2–4 inches of stem attached. Let the cut end air-dry for 2–3 days to form a callus, then insert it into well-draining cactus mix. Roots usually form within 2–4 weeks.
Best Timing: Autumn to Early Spring. Propagate during its active cool-season growth period. Avoid taking cuttings during mid-summer, when the plant goes dormant to protect itself from heat.
